It’s fun to give back as a family!

On Sunday, November 3, your family is invited to an Operation Christmas Child shoebox packing party at Milton Christian School. Kick off the Christmas season by giving to children in need!

How does this work?

Determine as a family how many children you would like to pack shoeboxes for and then purchase appropriate items. You can pack for girls or boys, age categories 4-6, 5-9 or 10-14. Then, bring the items you have purchased and a $10 donation* to the packing party at MCS. Shoeboxes will be provided onsite. *Please bring $10 (cash or cheque to “Samaritan’s Purse”) to cover the cost of shipping for each shoebox you pack. Alternatively, you can make an online donation here.

What will we do at the Packing Party?

We will help pack, label and stack shoeboxes, children can use provided materials to create special cards to insert in their boxes, we will have a centre to pray a blessing over the gifts and those that receive them, and we will enjoy some delicious Christmas treats and hot chocolate. Overall, it’s a great kick-off to the Christmas season, giving back as a family and community.

What if we can’t come to this event?

If you are unavailable November 3 but would still like to help, please consider dropping off items in the MCS office that other families will be able to pack into shoeboxes during the packing party. Or, pick up a shoebox from the school office before the party and pack your own shoebox, returning it to the school by November 1.
